When I put this shirt on after I finished it, my husband told me it was “very me”. Which is a good thing to hear after spending three days making something. This is my third Olya Shirt (by Paper Theory, sizes 31.5-56″ bust) and for a $20 pattern, I’m getting my money’s worth out of it. Lol.
I really loved the stripes and fabric that I chose for my first Olya, so when I saw this pink striped cotton poplin, I knew I wanted another one. The second time I made this pattern I made a couple of length adjustments, but this time I only added 3″ of length to the bodice pieces and placket pieces. I lengthened the sleeves on my second one, but I decided I like when the sleeves are a little bit shorter so that they stayed out of the way better. I also make the size 14 every time, even though I’m closer to the size 16 measurements now.

It was really nice sewing with this cotton and I’m so happy with how it turned out. I even remembered to sew a cute little tag on the inside and did self-bias binding at the hem, which is why it looks so dang good! I don’t have a whole lot to say since I have 2 other blog posts about this same pattern, but it’s definitely a favorite!
I have a couple of other new-to-me button up sewing patterns that I’m going to hopefully get sewn up soon, so stay tuned. Happy sewing! xoxo
