Union St. Tee V-Neck

Fabric: Cotton knit from Joann

I am so excited to be a part of Selfish Sewing Week! When I was looking through all of the fabulous patterns on Indiesew, I had to make a list because they were all so good!

I decided to go with the Union St. Tee by Hey June because you can do so many things with it! You can make it a round or v-neck, and it has three different sleeve lengths. It is such a great basic pattern for any t-shirt you want to make.

I chose to make a teal, short-sleeved v-neck. My favorite v-neck got a stain, and I had to throw it away (sad, sad day). This was the perfect chance to make one for myself!

The only real struggle I ran into while making this shirt was that my ballpoint needle kept shoving the neckline fabric into my machine. Once I switched out for a smaller needle and fine thread, things went much smoother for me.

This was the first time I had used a digital pattern, and I really liked it! Now that it’s printed on copy paper, it will last me so much longer, especially when compared to flimsy tissue paper.

Thank you, Allie at Indiesew, for the pattern and letting me feature my work!

Indiesew provided me the Union St Tee sewing pattern as part of Selfish Sewing Week, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
