I made the Fragola Top for Vanessa last August, and she has been very eager for me to make the dress version. When I’m sewing, she likes to go through my drawers of sewing supplies and fabric and tell me which ones she likes the most.

This fabric was her favorite, and I had plenty left over from when I made my Roscoe Blouse hack a few years ago. I also used some leftover fabric from a recent shirt for the inside lining too. I’m always so happy when I can put my leftover Indian block print fabrics to good use on other projects.

I made her size according to the measurements chart, and it fits her so nicely. I think I added a little bit of length, but didn’t make any other adjustments. The instructions are very detailed and have great photos so that I knew exactly what to do.

Vanessa’s birthday is in July, so I try to make at least one dress for her every year since she still likes wearing them. We have a Mediterranean cruise coming up soon, and I think this will a great dress for her to wear to stay cool when we’re out exploring.

This pattern is for sizes 12 months – 14 years, so I think we have a few more in our future as long as Vanessa still likes me sewing them for her.
