Envelope Dress (Nursing Friendly)

This Cris Wood Sews Envelope Dress (zero waste pattern!) didn’t fit very well at 35 weeks pregnant, but it’s perfect now — nursing zipper and all! I used a 14″ zipper, but it definitely didn’t need to be that long for the front center seam (10″ would probably work fine). I just sewed the zipper in first and then did the topstitching that the pattern instructs. Super easy nursing hack with a super easy pattern! That’s the way I like it.

I made the ‘one size’ option instead of making my own size because I’m honestly close to the largest size anyways. I really wanted to make a pretty pink dress in washed linen, and this is the watermelon color from Makers Fabric. It is so beautiful, and worked perfectly for the first few weeks postpartum when I needed nursing access and skin to skin time with Vanessa.
