This picture was taken yesterday when I was hurrying to take landscape pictures for my Photography class, before we got washed out by the rain.
While we were driving up the canyon, Dallas was telling me to look out for where I wanted to take my last pictures. When you get up to the very tops of the mountains around Cedar City there is lava rock everywhere. I was looking at all the rocks and I saw this tractor through the trees. Dallas didn’t realize that it was a little bit of a hike down to it, but I think it was well worth it!
Today I am grateful for rain and how it makes me slow down to appreciate it’s beauty.
Dallas has become used to sitting with me in the car when he turns the car off in front of our house, because I just sit there and think sometimes. (I just know that once I go inside I’m going to have to do things!)
But sitting in the car is even better when it’s raining and I can just watch the rain fall on the windshield and listen to it hit the top of the car. It’s really relaxing. You should try it.
Since I got the graphic design job I interviewed for a couple weeks ago (yay!), life has been much more hectic.
It’s nice to have those moments when I can catch my breath and appreciate God’s tender mercies in giving me rain so that I can just sit and watch it for a few minutes before I get right back into the hustle.
What are you grateful for today? I would love to know in the comments! 🙂
Today, I am once again grateful for general conference. I was so excited for it, and it was SO GOOD! It was exactly the lift and push I needed to make some new goals and also the reassurance that I am doing okay (Elder Holland anyone?) I just felt so inspired by the end and so grateful for our prophet.
I agree, Skyler. There were a lot of things that I think I needed to hear this time and I am always so grateful for conference.
