What memory are you grateful for today?
A little while ago my friend on Instagram posted this quote “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” -Theodor Seuss Geisel
It came a few days after I should have done this Grati-Tuesday, but sometimes I really slack at these posts. Sometimes I just get stumped, and I’m too lazy to figure out what to write. But I’m not skipping this one.
After reading the quote I started thinking of moments instead of “memories”.
One moment I remember and love is when Dallas was moving into the apartment above mine. My roommate, Molly, and I were going to a church activity (for once), and while we were leaving, we just asked him if he wanted to come with us. He said no and that he had to unpack or something, but when we got into my car she was like, “Ooo he’s cute. I’m going to play match maker with you two. ” And I said something like, “Whatever” and just ignored it, but it still makes me laugh every time I think about it.
Of course the one that popped into my head was about Dallas, but he’s just too dang cute, and that’s basically when my life started anyway. It was nice to reminisce and even tell Dallas about different things I remember.
So what moment in life are you grateful for? Heck, it doesn’t even have to be a moment if that question stresses you out like it did me, but what are you grateful for today? Let me know in the comments. 🙂
