With the new graphic design job, school, and other projects, Tori’s been pretty busy, and today you get to hear from me.
My name is Dallas, and I am Tori’s husband.
This year has been full of the kinds of learning experiences that are uncomfortable at best and downright painful at their worst: changes at work, changes at school, learning new skills on a deadline, etc. There have been more than a few moments when the stress has felt overbearing on both Tori and myself. I even reached the point where I didn’t have an answer to the everyday question, “How’s it going?” Sometimes I just shrugged as an answer.
A few weeks ago, I decided that I would try to answer the “How’s it going?” question honestly, without bringing other people down. It’s not an easy task, but even on the worst days, I have this answer:
“It’s another day.”
I enjoy my life, and I have more than a few luxuries that I feel like I don’t deserve. Today may not seem like the greatest or easiest day of my life, but I am truly grateful that today is another day.
What are you grateful for today?
Thanks for the guest post, Dallas! What a great perspective. Today I am grateful for the primary training I attended last night that was put on by our stake primary. It was a much needed spiritual boost in the middle of the week and reminded me of some important things.
Thank you, Skyler! I always love seeing your Grati-Tuesday. 🙂
