Grati-Tuesday

Today, I was getting ready to leave work around noon to go eat lunch with Dallas. Usually, I just walk out to the car and wait for him, but this time I just told him to let me know when he was walking out to the car and I would meet him out there. When I was walking to the car, Dallas was just pulling out of our spot, so I got in and we started driving towards the exit.
About ten feet before we got to the exit, a girl zoomed past in her car without even taking a look to see if anyone was coming around the corner. Dallas and I both were so grateful that we hadn’t left ten seconds earlier, because if we had, her car could have t-boned the drivers side since she was going well over ten miles an hour in the parking lot.
Please slow down in parking lots, people. No matter how late your are to class, or anything for that matter. Nothing is more important than people’s lives.
Today I am grateful for times when life flashes before our eyes, but there are people watching out for us and we can walk away unharmed. Today could have turned out so differently, but I am glad to be home safe at home.
God is good.

  1. How scary! I am so glad you are okay.
Today, I am grateful that I got to go to Time Out for Women in St. George this past weekend with my mom, sisters, grandma, aunts, and cousins. It was such a fun weekend and I got a needed spiritual boost. It was also nice to recharge as a mom by having a couple days without the responsibilities that come with my sweet littles. I was also so grateful to get home their their sweet little faces, though. It really did feel like a time out to me, a time to regroup and recommit. I loved it!

    1. I have heard that Time Out for Women is always really good. It's nice to have time to yourself and listen to inspiring people who remind you of the kind of person you want to be. I'm so glad you got to go! 🙂
