Today I am grateful for tender mercies.

You know those days that feel so off and you can’t figure out what it is wrong, but you just want to stop feeling weird and start feeling good again? Yesterday was one of those days.

After work, I came home and just fell asleep on the couch at lunch instead of eating. Around 3:00, I got up and decided that I wanted corn bread.

I knew we hadn’t gone to the store in a few days, so in my head I kind of prayed that we would have all of the ingredients I needed, since a mental break down was looming.

I didn’t even check. I just started making it.

It turns out I had the exact amount of milk and corn meal that I needed. Then I did one of these:

I even ended up making taco soup and chocolate chip cookies after that!

I’m grateful for a God who is aware of me and knew that at that moment, I just needed the ingredients for corn bread.

Every Tuesday, I take a minute to reflect and write on what I am grateful for that week. I have found that it helps me take a step back to appreciate the blessing in my life, big or small.

So, what are you grateful for today? What have you noticed this week that you are grateful for? I would love to hear what you are grateful for in the comments.
