Yeah. I just did that. No, it shouldn’t become a regular occurrence, but here’s the thing – My senior-itus has senior-itus. If you look up the definition on Google (Yes. It’s real.) the definition is spot on.
But I’m no quitter, so here is my Grati…Thursday. Whatever. 🙂
I really wanted to write this post this week because I have a lot to be grateful for, and I think it’s healthy to write it down and share it with others.
This week I have been grateful for the people who have been patient with me when it has been hard to be patient with myself. Last week, I basically had three jobs and full time school. Thankfully I finished one job, but I had a lot of help from Dallas, teachers, other graphic designers. I could not do any of it alone, and I am so grateful to have a good support system.
I am also grateful for friends. When I think about who I “hang out” with, let’s be honest, Dallas is it. And he’s really cute, so I’m not complaining at all. But sometimes it is nice to know there are other people there, too. I am thankful for new friends who I can see everyday and know I’m not alone, friends who call and talk to me for an hour when I’m having a rough time, friends who randomly text me and ask to Skype, and friends who say they’re in town and want to go to dinner and catch up after three years.
So many people make my life easier and more livable, and I am grateful for them, because there are a lot of days when I want to quit all of it, but then I realize how many people I have cheering me on, and I can go for another day.
So, thank you. And thank you for being that person to someone else, because we all need it.
What are you grateful for? Let me know in the comments, I want to know!
Love this! Even if it is Thursday. Today I am grateful for Maben. He has been helping me redo our dining room and has been so patient with me when I get grumpy about things. He's pretty patient with my grumpiness in general! 🙂
I totally understand Sky! Dallas is the most patient person with me, and it's amazing he still loves me even when I'm at my worst. We picked good ones. 😉 I want to see pics of the dining room when you are done!
I'm thankful for ….sheet rock. It's like atonement for home improvement – it covers up your screw ups and makes everything nice and smooth again. I know, bad analogy, but hey I'm thankful for it. Love Dad
That's a good analogy! Especially since you've been doing lots of home improvement lately. It's going to look so good! Love you Dad.
